FIRST LEGO LEAGUE Explore is for K-4th graders working in teams of up to 6 members. Playing At Learning manages the FLL Explore program for Northern California.
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE Challenge (FLL Challenge) is for 4th-8th graders working in teams of up to 10 members. Playing At Learning manages the program for Northern California.
FIRST TECH CHALLENGE (FTC) is for 7th-12th graders working in teams of up to 15 members. Playing At Learning manages the FTC program for Northern California.
FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is for 9th-12th graders working in a team of varying size, typically with 25 or more students. FRC Regional events are managed directly by FIRST staff called Regional Directors.
The Play Space is a dedicated cross-program makerspace for use across all of the FIRST programs to use and support each other.
